Art Strong is an Art studio based in long island city , queens. Art Strong is a Queens Arts Studio founded by NYC Art Teachers Ashley Cavadas and Hannah Lokken. Art Strong brings exploratory art making practices including drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, and much more to children starting at 6 months old. The inspiration behind this studio stems from the founders’ never-ending passion for the arts, creativity, and getting messy.
MoMA PS1 Let your creativity soar! Join the fun at our monthly family workshops for artists of all ages. MoMA PS1 is a place where audiences can encounter and engage with new art and perspectives, the institution has offered insight into artists’ worldviews for nearly 50 years
DANCE
Culture Lab LIC is a 501(c)(3) formed to be the arts and culture umbrella for Western Queens. We present local, national, and international art of all genres, while supporting New York artists and other nonprofits by providing space, resources and a sense of community.
Operating out of a 35,000 square foot converted warehouse, Culture Lab LIC hosts two fine art galleries, an 80 seat theater, classroom space, an 18,000 square foot outdoor venue, and a robust residency program. Culture Lab LIC is dedicated to upholding, equity, diversity and inclusion across all our platforms.
SOCCER
At Soccer Stars, it is our goal to teach soccer skills in a fun, non-competitive, educational environment. Our philosophy is to use soccer to nurture, build self-confidence, and develop teamwork in every class. Our specially designed curricula use positive reinforcement and a low child-to-coach ratio to ensure that each child improves at his or her own rate while having endless fun.
Soccer Stars was founded in the year 2000 by Gustavo Szulansky, a New York City father of three and native of Argentina. With fύtbol in his blood and having spent countless dollars searching for quality programs for his own children, he founded the program determined to build the best children’s program anywhere. Backed by 20 years of experience, Soccer Stars offers a unique, age-specific curriculum that is crafted to improve soccer skills, build self-confidence, and develop socialization skills.

Super Kickers soccer classes are designed for children ages 1.5 through 12 and range from 35 minutes to 1 hour.
The program consists of 5 seasons throughout the year: Fall, Winter, Mid-Winter, Spring, and Summer, and is offered weekly throughout Queens.

Long Island City ICE’s mission is to offer year-round hockey and skating training in New York City. Through a combination of personal on-ice and off-ice instruction at LIC ICE’s brand-new, two-story facility at Hunter’s Point, our esteemed coaches, including former NHLers, will develop hockey players and skaters of all ages and skill levels.
Classes, clinics and programs at our year-round facility will improve skating, shooting, passing and decision-making on the ice, as well as conditioning and athleticism through dryland training. LIC ICE believes that small group training offers both personal attention from coaches and also allows adequate recovery time in our up-tempo sessions.
As New York City’s newest hockey and skating training facility, LIC ICE is a great resource for teams looking for supplemental ice, or elite, year-round training.
Our goal at LIC ICE is to make hockey training fun while preparing players for the next level of their hockey careers, as well as make skating an accessible activity for all.

City Ice Pavilion is a world-class skating facility with an NHL-size ice rink that’s open year-round for open skating sessions. The Queens facility offers public and private learn-to-skate classes, as well as hockey for tots, youths and adults. Birthday parties and special-events-planning opportunities are also available.
BASKETBALL

The Long Island City Youth Sports League is a non-profit organization set up to utilize the public school gyms and Parks Department playing fields in Long Island City.
We currently run youth basketball programs for grades 1-6 at PS78Q from January through April open to all boys and girls. These 10-12 session programs are designed to teach kids the basics of basketball, give them some exercise in mid-winter, and get them to the point where they feel comfortable joining the pick-up games at the outdoor courts in LIC come Spring.
